Lightning sensor

Integrated with the FieldPRO station, it uses the quasi-electrostatic principle to detect cloud-to-ground, intracloud and cloud-to-cloud strikes up to 35 km away and to identify strong electric fields, flagging the risk before the first strike. Three dry-contact relays (alert, warning and fault) can trigger sirens and stoppages right on site.

What it measures

  • Cloud-to-ground, intracloud and cloud-to-cloud strikes
  • Storm distance
  • Strong electric field, before the first strike
